The University of Edinburgh’s Endurance Running Academy was set up in partnership with Scottish Athletics to provide a performance development programme for student athletes competing in cross country, road running, mountain running and track. Athletes on this programme will be supported with coaching and access to support services (such as physical preparation). Athletes selected for the Endurance Running Academy are expected to represent the university at BUCS events and aspire to represent GB at their endurance discipline. 2026/2027 ApplicationsConsideration Criteria / Standards for 2026-27 SeasonTo be considered for selection it is expected that athletes meet at least one of the following criteria (please note that these are consideration standards and achieving them does not guarantee selection onto the programme):Represented Great Britain at Cross Country, Road Running, or Mountain Running in the past season (September 2025 – August 2026)Represented scottishathletics (or other HCAF) at Cross Country, Road Running, Mountain Running or Track in the past season (September 2025 – August 2026)If you have achieved any of the criteria / standards above and would like to be considered for selection into the Edinburgh University Endurance Running Academy for the 2026/2027 season, please fill in the following form to confirm your interest and highlight the criteria / standards you have met.
