The University of Edinburgh’s Global Endurance Project was set up in partnership with Scottish Athletics to provide a performance programme for athletes competing in the endurance Olympic Pathway. Athletes on the programme will be supported with coaching and access to support services (such as physical preparation, physiotherapy, performance psychology, performance nutrition, and performance lifestyle support), and access to sports scholarships. Athletes selected for the Global Endurance Project are expected to represent the university where appropriate and aspire to represent GB or their World Athletics recognised home federation (International athletes).25/26 ApplicationsConsideration Criteria / Standards for 2025-26 SeasonTo be considered for selection it is expected that athletes meet at least one of the following criteria (to be clear these are consideration standards and achieving them does not guarantee selection onto the programme):Represented Great Britain or their World Athletics recognised home federation (International athletes) at track in the past two season (September 2023 – August 2025)Achieved the following times in 2025: If you have achieved any of the criteria / standards above and would like to be considered for selection into The Edinburgh University Global Endurance Project for the 2025/2026 season, please fill in the following form to confirm your interest and highlight the criteria / standards you have met.
