Extraordinary match day experiences

The University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Rugby partnership is providing extraordinary match day experiences for widening-participation and international students.

In January, The University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Rugby entered into a new strategic partnership. Built on sporting collaboration, it offers Edinburgh Rugby access to the University’s world class training facilities, equipment, and support services and also opens up opportunities for volunteer experiences, match day experiences, as well as placement and internship opportunities for University students.

Extraordinary experiences

This season, Edinburgh Rugby have provided free tickets for widening participation (WP) and international students for their home games at the Hive Stadium with plans in place to extend this offer to both the men’s and women’s fixtures next season.

Whilst this was my first time at Hive Stadium, I don’t think that it will be my last. I had a great evening and Edinburgh scoring a try with the last play of the game definitely sealed the deal!

The game was an incredible watch and even better we managed to score a win! I left the stadium with a buzz from the atmosphere during the game and even managed to bump into some friends whilst there.

Students from these cohorts will be contacted ahead of the beginning of the season with information on how to apply for tickets.
