Scottish Athletics Announce New Headquarters

Director of Sport and Active Health, Mark Munro said, 

“We are always looking to develop our relationships with governing bodies and it is great to enhance our partnership with Scottish Athletics and welcome them to Peffermill as they set up their new headquarters within The Laurie Liddell Clubhouse. Peffermill has undergone some magnificent changes over the last twelve months with our new hockey surface and wild Peffermill as well as recently playing host to Rugby World Champions South Africa, Fiji and Australia as they prepared for their respective Autumn Tests versus Scotland. We look forward to working with all the team at Scottish Athletics on a number of projects including the Global Endurance Programme.”

"We are delighted to be further extending our partnership with the University of Edinburgh by relocating our head office to the Laurie Liddell Clubhouse. It is an exciting time to be moving to Peffermill with several developments taking place onsite that further enhance the fantastic sports facilities at the University of Edinburgh. The University already provides significant support to athletics in Scotland through the Global Endurance Project which provides a performance development programme at the University for athletes. We look forward to continuing to work with the University to support the development of athletics in Scotland."

Scottish Athletics head office has been based in the 'house of sport' at Caledonia House in South Gyle for a number of years. The building will close at the end of 2024 so Scottish Athletics have been exploring alternative office accommodation in the East of Scotland throughout this year. From the 2nd of December, Scottish Athletics head office will be based at the Laurie Liddell Clubhouse, Peffermill Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5LL.
