University awarded the BUCS Physical Activity Excellence Award

The University of Edinburgh becomes one of only 16 UK Higher Education institutions to be awarded the BUCS Physical Activity Excellence Award.

Created by BUCS and the Physical Activity and Health Board in 2017, the award aims to produce a sector standard for higher education institutions to achieve that demonstrates good practice in increasing physical activity engagement across its population.

The award is assessed across four pillars; strategy and planning, insight and research, partnerships and collaboration, and implementation and delivery.

We are ecstatic to have received a BUCS Physical Activity Excellence Award. To receive an externally verified accreditation recognising our commitment to the promotion & delivery of physical activity opportunities is testament to the work of our whole team
