Incoming Student Shines in Paris

Incoming scholar, Aleksandra Kalucka impressed in the Olympics speed climbing qualifications, qualifying in 4th spot for the quarter finals.

Aleksandra who begins her studies at Edinburgh University in September, raced to two personal bests in qualification, completing the 15m climb in 6.3 seconds.

The quarter finals, and latter stages, take place tomorrow and we all wish Aleksandra the very best of luck.

Elsewhere Team GB Women's Hockey had an unfortunate loss knocking them out of the competition at the quarter final stage, following a 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands.

With no representation today, attention turns to Thursday for the latter stages of the Speed Climbing and Grace Reid taking to the board in the 3m Springboard qualification.
