The University of Edinburgh is delighted to announce the appointment of three time Olympian, and two time Commonwealth medallist, Grace Reid, as its latest Global Ambassador for Sport where she joins Scotland’s most decorated athlete, Eilidh Doyle, in the role. The world-renowned diver brings a wealth of experience from the very highest level of international sport. In her new role, she will work closely with the University’s Performance Sport team supporting athlete recruitment and mentoring elite student-athletes as they progress through the performance pathway. A University of Edinburgh Sports Hall of Famer, Grace will also collaborate with the Development and Alumni team, helping to shape future scholarship opportunities and support the development of emerging talent from Scotland and beyond.Her appointment reflects the University’s continued commitment to excellence in sport and active health, and to providing student-athletes with access to world-class role models and support networks.Director of Sport and Active Health, Mark Munro, welcomed the announcement:Grace’s appointment strengthens our ambition to support the next generation of high-performance athletes.
